Introducing a new way of staying in shape or even getting back into shape with WHOLE BODY VIBRATION
Instead of spending an hour at the gym doing conventional training with weights, you can now get the same results in just 10 to 15 minutes a day, three times a week.
![]() Whole body vibration is one of the most exciting technological advances in the fields of sports medicine, rehabilitation, general wellness/health and athletics in many years. Backed by over 40 years of research, it is safe, easy and effective for anyone to use. The technology was originally designed by the Russians in the 1960’s to treat bone and lean muscle mass loss in their astronauts as well as to enhance power and strength and to accelerate recovery in their Olympic athletes. Eventually, the technology was introduced to Europe in the early 1990’s, where further research was done to validate its effects. Due to its many benefits, the technology has quickly gained acceptance and is now utilized by universities, professional sports teams and health professionals in the rehabilitation and medical fields and is now one of the fastest growing fitness trends.
It has applications ranging from elite sports conditioning to training elderly and sedentary individuals. No matter what your fitness level, in the short training time of only 10 to 15 minutes a day, three times a week, this technology will allow you to achieve a new level of health, fitness and/or sports performance in considerably less amount of time compared to conventional methods.
Vibration exercise has the competitive advantage over conventional training due to its ability to provide a more effective and efficient exercise without the constraints associated with regular training, such as joint stress, lengthy repetitions and time commitments. Research has shown similar strength gains to conventional resistance training at a fraction of the time. Fifteen minutes of vibration exercise produces similar results to one hour in conventional training.

The movement of the vibration plate with a small amplitude of 2 to 4 mm simulates the body’s natural ‘stretch reflex’ (Tonic Vibration Reflex). This is similar to the knee jerk reaction that occurs when the knee is tapped by a reflex hammer in a doctor’s office. Without thinking about it, your body responds with a strong involuntary muscle contraction, leading to your leg ‘kicking out’. With vibration technology, these strong muscle contractions can be repeated at a rapid rate. At a frequency of 20 to 50 times a second, this technology can produce up to 3,000 contractions in 1 minute! So not only will you get more muscle contractions in a short period of time but more of your muscles will be working during this time.
Due to its involuntary effect on muscle contraction, nearly 100% of the muscle fibers are recruited. Compare this to conventional training where individuals may recruit anywhere from 40 to 80% of their motor units depending on their training and conditioning levels.
This rapid movement causes the body to burn large amounts of energy (Kj/Cal) hence emptying the fat cells of their stored carbohydrates. And it is not only the muscle tissue that reacts. Whole body vibration also has a positive effect on tendon tissue, bone tissue, the nervous system and hormonal balances.
![]() Force = Mass X Acceleration
Conventional weight training works on the concept of increasing the Mass to generate additional force. The WAVE vibration plate works on increasing the Acceleration instead. What this means is that whenever we exercise our muscles, we are using Force to lift more or lift faster. There are two ways to get stronger: lift heavy weights (increasing the MASS to get more Force), or lift lighter weights but faster (keep the same weight but increase the ACCELERATION). WAVE vibration exercise works on increasing acceleration (rapid movement of the platform) rather than increasing the amount you lift, thereby placing less stress on your joints and ligaments.

Whole body vibration improves your fitness, your health and your well-being. This is a different kind of workout based on the body's reflex system. This is a "passive" rather than an "active" workout and represents a true revolution in exercise. It is an asset in the treatment of cellulite as it aids in lymphatic drainage and in the mobilization of fat as well as strengthening muscles and joints. Physical therapists are using vibration therapy to help patients improve muscle strength, flexibility, range of motion, circulation and bone density. It has been researched and found to be beneficial in many ways, including but not limited to:
Vibration workouts are used by more and more professional athletes and Hollywood stars because they give rapid, real results. It can be used by anyone, from young adult to the elderly, regardless of your level of fitness! Try it to believe it!
